This past Saturday, one of our KNOXX Heavyweight fighters, Paul “The Head Hunter” Buentello, was set to fight in a brand new MMA organization called Nemesis Fight Promotions. It was their first event which was held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and this is was fight card for their event:
205 lbs.: Keith Jardine vs. Francisco France
265 lbs.: Paul Buentello vs. Kerry Schall
205 lbs.: Eliot Marshall vs. Chris Davis
155 lbs.: Jeff Curran vs. Travis Marx
185 lbs.: Terry Martin vs. Marcus Hicks
125 lbs.: John Dodson vs. John Moraga
185 lbs.: Dean Lister vs. Kyle Seals
All the fighters showed up to fight and gave the organization and the fans what they wanted but unfortunately every single fighter was stiffed and was unpaid for their fights by Nemesis Fight Promotions.
Here’s what Paul “The Head Hunter” Buentello shared with us on his blog about how he feels about these organizations are doing to him when it comes to the sport he has competed in and loved for so long.
These were Paul Buentello’s KNOXX Fight Shorts with his sponsors logo for this fight. He won by decision and ended up with a few bumps, one black eye, one broken hand, and one busted lip BUT NO PAY CHECK!!
I know the sport of MMA and combat fighting has been expanding quite rapidly and people think there’s good money out there within the sport but where is the honor when ur stiffing the fighters that fought hard, risked their health and lives for your Organization??!
