For those of you that supported her last time, she thanks you so much. She was able to complete that ride with ease, so she decided to step it up and go even further since she felt so strong at the end of the 50 miles last time when she did the Tour de Cure earlier this year. She will be riding 75 miles for Waves to Wine on Saturday, and then she will be riding another 75 miles on Sunday all while riding through the most scenic of tours in the Bay Area.

Why She Joined the Movement

Our bodies are in constant motion, moving information from the brain to the body. MS stops people from moving by attacking the myelin that protects normal nerve tissue. This damage can cause symptoms ranging from numbness and tingling in the limbs to paralysis and blindness in the most severe cases. People with MS know something about moving that most of us don’t understand; moving is not a guarantee. We always take the smallest things for granted.

Why She Ride

She registered for Bike MS: Waves to Wine Ride 2008 because she want to do something for the people who have been diagnosed – NOW! Today, there is no cure for multiple sclerosis, and with a diagnosis occurring most frequently between the ages of 20 and 50, many individuals face a lifetime filled with unpredictability. She’s riding for her good friend’s mother, her best friend’s sister and her good friend’s cousin; all of these people she know personally have been affected by this disease, so she’s doing something about it. Help her make a difference!

Why You Should Sponsor her

MS stops people from moving. The National MS Society exists to make sure it doesn’t. The Society addresses the challenges of each person living with MS. In 2006 alone, through the national home office and 50 state network of chapters, nearly $126 million was devoted to programs that enhanced more than one million lives to move us closer to a world free of MS, the Society also
invested more than $46 million to support 380 research projects around the world.
