KNOXX’s MMA Fighter, Anthony “Rumble” Johnson meets KNOXX’s DJ E-Rock
A toe injury forced lightweight champion Josh Thomson to withdraw from his first title defense against Yves Edwards at Strikeforce “Destruction” on Nov. 21 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.
Strikeforce officials announced the change to their main event on Wednesday. UFC veteran Duane Ludwig will meet Edwards in Thomson’s stead.
Thomson, who tore ligaments in his toe while training, has not competed since he stopped Ashe Bowman on strikes in 74 seconds at the Playboy Mansion two months ago. The 30-year-old American Kickboxing Academy product has rattled off eight consecutive victories since his decision loss to Clay Guida in 2006, re-establishing himself as one of the world’s premier 155-pound fighters. Thomson (16-2) captured the Strikeforce lightweight crown from Gilbert Melendez in a career-defining performance in June.
The bout against Edwards (34-14-1) represented a chance for Thomson to avenge one of his two career losses. Edwards knocked out the Californian with a highlight-reel head kick at UFC 49 four years ago.
Strikeforce will have another exciting MMA event on November 21 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.

The main event will be Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Josh “The Punk” Thomson Vs. Yves Edwards and the co-main event is between Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Bobby Southworth against Renato “Babalu” Sobral.
Both of these fights are scheduled for five rounds and both are also title fights.

Strikeforce Lightweight Champion and KNOXX sponsored Josh “The Punk” Thomson will take on team Lion’s Den member Ashe “The Machine” Bowman (6-4) in a three-round, non-title match at “Strikeforce at the Mansion II” at the world-famous Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills, Calif., on September 20.
Bowman has won six of his past seven contests after beginning his career with three straight losses. He’s competed five times under the Ken Shamrock Productions banner, winning each time.
He certainly comes as a surprise opponent for the champ — most fans were probably expecting someone with a little more notoriety. But that doesn’t mean Bowman isn’t capable of pulling off the shocker … anything can in mixed martial arts, right?
This will be The Punk’s first fight since winning a unanimous decision in June over then highly-regarded champion Gilbert Melendez. Thomson was a significant underdog in that fight. And after pulling off the upset he earned himself a place amongst the big dogs in terms of the top fighters in the world.
Therefore, it would be an upset of epic proportions if Thomson loses this fight. Bowman just isn’t on his level when it comes to talent or experience. This is most likely a showcase fight for the champ — perhaps to keep him busy and at the same time rest his still-healing shoulder.
In short, don’t be surprised if Thomson takes this one in impressive fashion

This past weekend KNOXX and KNOXX’s Anthony “Rumble” Johnson took a road trip to Southern California to attend the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital charity event. On this trip, we also got to relax and do some partying while we were there. We stayed in a beautiful beach house in Manhatten Beach that was provided by K.O. Management (Thanks to Ana for getting this super nice pad for us to stay in).
